My 2 year old Maine Coon Cat keeps throwing up his dry food and won't touch the wet food. This has been going on for 36 hours. What should I do?

Yes he still wants to eat, and does eat but throws it right up afterwards.

Thanks for the info.

It appears that your guy has a hair ball obstruction that is causing him to be nauseous. If this hair is stuck in an area far down the intestinal tract, there is no way for it to come out his mouth and it must be moved through his system so it can come out with his stool. Buy a product called Laxatone at your local pet store. Give him 1/4 inch of the paste every 8 hrs for one day and then twice a day for one day. Then give it every day until the vomitinhg has resolved.
