Hi and thanks for using JustAnswer.com.

Acid does not affect glazed tiles so I presume you have a unglazed clay tile. Once the material has been eaten by the acid, there is no way to replace the material. It has been molecularly altered. It is a chemical reaction which is not reversable.

I hope that this information was helpful to you. As the product people if the glaze is ceramic or some chemical coating. Just what is the visual difference between a tile without acid on it and a tile with acid on it?
