Hi! first of all, ignore the problem with your window defroster totoally un-related, and completly different system from your power train, along with the cruise control, again, a different issue, worry about these after fixing your "stall" concern.
Technical info: your vehicle is equipped with an electronic magnetic pickup within your distributer, and seems to not like the high RPM's (high engine speed) that your car requires to go 70 mph, from 14 years of use, it can't keep up.
To verify this, put your vehicle in nuetral (n-position in an automatic, or center position if manual), with one foot on the brake, rev the engine up to 5,000, or as high as you can get it for five minutes, if it stumbles, misses, or cuts out, you will need to have your distributer replaced at a reputible shop, (needs to be timed, can be somewhat complicated) or just let me know if it does not.
Expect to pay about $300 for this repair, and no more. See another shop if they quote you more. This is parts and labor (total cost)
An accept is always appreciated, along with feedback, and Im always happy to continue to help, regardless of accept status! Thanks
Nick.
