Question

My 37 # basset hound was found with a 25 mcg/per hr fentanyl patch. It must have fallen off my arm. I noticed it within a few seconds of seeing him have something in his mouth and I took it out. It has been 2 hrs and he seems fine. What should I be looking for?

Thanks for the information. I don't think you are going to have any problems with him. I would just watch him. If you notice and vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, weakness, increased salivation, inflammation in the mouth or constipaton; I would bring him in to be seen. He should be okay, though. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Hope this helps.
