Question

my cat was lost for two days, when he came back home he looked liked he lost a lot of weight, his breathing seems heavier, and in his lower belly has a large red and black spot, that looks like it's an internal issue like a big bruise or something, what should I do for immediate care if I can't take him to a hospital at this moment?

Hello,

Unfortunately, not much you can do.

Based on just the breathing and that large bruise, I would strongly recommend obtaining emergency care now. Due to the combination of symptoms, a wait and see approach could even prove fatal if there is systemic (internal) issues present.

The heavier breathing likely suggests pain and/or nausea, and could represent intra-thoracic (chest) problems. Definitely, worth a visit now.

Good Luck

Dr. Andy
