Info Request

Hi.I'm Dr. Lee and will do my best to help.

Is it bleeding? Do you see any blood from the mouth or oral cavity?
Where exactly is the hole on the tongue?
Is he still eating at all?
Is he drinking?
How old is he?
How long has this been going on?

Thanks.

all most all the way back

Answer

Hi. Thanks for the info.

If it is all the way back, it is likely an ulcer or a severe infection. You need to bring him to your veterinarian for an exam and possibly antibiotics. It will not likely heal on its own, especially it's been going on for a while.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks.
