Question

I have a 1989 Chevy pickup with a 350 with 80 k miles. About 10 years ago I had to replace the intake manifold gaskets antifreeze in oil. This time my daughter borrowed the old truck, it overheated, so she added antifreeze and brought it home, said it was missing and hard to start. After sitting until it was cool, tried to start , the stater was having quite a load trying to start, but after a few tries it started with a miss at idle and at higher revs. Turned off engine and antifreeze ran out of a small pin hole at lower exhaust. Checked oil and it was over the fill level and milky. Installed new intake manifold gaskets. Added new oil, Engine started right up.
Let set overnight, tried starting, starter would kick back and not turn engine. Pulled spark plugs, should have done this to start 2020 hindsite, Number 1 wet on left side and 2 middle on right side. Engine would start and blows water out of three cylinders. Do you think I have warped intake or head problems??

Hi! There

It sounds like a intake problem, but running one hot can cause head damage. Remove the intake Check your gaskets to make sure nothing went wrong on installation. Use a stright edge to check the intake surface and the head surface where the intake mounts. Check for cracks in intake(You can only check this by site. if any dought sent to machine shop.) If all checks good then you are looking at a head gasket. If you do have to pull the heads have them checked for crack's and have them surfaced.
