This could be caused by a few problems such as wiring, ECU, or security settings. This is a complex problem that you would want to bring the vehicle to the dealership so they could monitor settings, modules, and alarm switches with scantool to see which one is causing the problem. Check to see if you have spark if you have spark and fuel then you are lacking compression and do a compression test. Compression should be about 160 psi. Here is a article to describe the alarm system, let me know if you have questions. Thanks

The crankshaft position sensor would be the next problem to check and to test that you would use a voltmeter and check for ac voltage while cranking but we can work on that tomorrow if we figure out that the security system is not the cause. Thanks again and let me know what you find out.
Hi Dan, i have checked for some loose ground wires under the hood and the right rear wheel well cover. would it be a bad idea to place a jumper between the terminals on the switch where the key triggers the ignition when inserted? the remote does work for locking & unlocking. thanks
