Hello,I am not a physician but am quite familiar with psychotropic medications. According to the Federal Food and Drug Administration there is no difference between the generic fluoxetine and Prozac. It has been reported to me by patients that some generics are not the euivalent of the Brand name medication as has been the case with Klonopin, but it has never been reported to me with Prozac versus fluoxetine.
