Question
I have a 2007 550i. 66,700 miles. Wheels recently aligned and balanced. when driving over any rough road or any rood that is not perfectly smooth, UNDER THE PASSENGER'S FEET the floorboard rattles and vibrates and shakes. You don't really feel it on the drivers side when this happens. when Ive let someone drive my car and I sat there, it drove me nuts, you can really feel it under your feet. Any ideas what causes this? I've called 2 service departments at BMW dealerships and they said they have never heard of this. I had Firestone pull the shield under the car and they could not see anything wrong. Anyone ever see this or hear of this before? Any ideas how to diagnose this?

hi i found a tsb that applies to your exact car.

tsb #S1B310107 you best bet would be to take the car to BMW and ask them to perform the repair on that tsb,

this tsb primarily is about tightening all the front axle and front suspension components

Sean - the bulletin is on the X-5 and I have a 550i - think it translates to same thing even though 2 completely different models? I'll try it - but wanted to make sure you thought that it does not matter they are different models X-5 versus 550i
