Answer

Good Evening,

Pristiq is a time released drug (it means it stays longer in the system)
People can get withdrawal symptoms when coming off of the psychotropic medications used to treat mood disorders and especially depression. Such symptoms may include nausea, upset stomach, irritability, insomnia, anxiety, etc.
A person is supposed to be tapered off of the medication. You may want to consult with the prescribing physician.
