Question

5 yr. old red Siberian husky male dog, little foam, white (poss. blue) tongue, died in just minutes after my hubby saw him. Felt a knot at his stomach. Normal poop, no access to strange vegetation... he did kill a opossum a week before, but did not handle him long before he was removed. Can you tell me maybe what happened. He was very healthy and I was out of town and the guys just buried him... I'd had him to our vet!

Hello,
I am very sorry to hear about your loss.
Your family has my deepest sympathy and support.
I am going to say no to heart disease, because your vet apparently did not pick up on any likely heart problems or a heart murmur.
I am very suspicious for a stomach bloat and twist, also known as a gastric dilatation volvulus. When the stop twists, vessels can tear, and it can quickly be fatal. I can't rule-out cancer causes, but I wouldn't expect it at this age or to occur that quickly.
I also cannot rule-out possible toxin exposure.

Deep chested dogs are predisposed to this stomach twist problem, so that would be my first guess.

I am sorry for your loss.
