Question

i want to get a fiancee visa for this girl in the philippines we have been talkin for like 4 in a half months now. and we decided that we are going to get married. We meet online i talked to her threw webcam, i know what she looks like and she knows what i look like and everything. I help her out by sending her money i bought her passport for her and everything. i still got all my western union reciepts still. I also talk to her on the phone everyday for about 2 months i ran my phoe bill up and extra 350 dollars for her and txt messageing. I Have sent about 500-600 dollars to her already. Her family knows about me and everyhthing and knows our plan and so do mine. Bt we have never phisically meet what do you think my chances are of still getting the visa for her? I just cant afford to take time off work and go there and plus its expensive i would rather save the money so that when she gets here i got enough. plus pay for her pappers and her plane ticket.

Accepted Answer

You and your fiance can apply for a special visa for her to come to the US -- you would not have to leave the country. Once she has this visa, she can come to the US and if she is married to you within 90 days of her arrival, she can apply for permanent residency based upon her marital staus to a US citizen (which paperwork can be filed here in the US at your local imigration office).

You can hire an attorney to do all the paperwork for you fr a fee or you can attempt to prepare and file the paperwork yourselves. I have attached a link to a website from the US Immigration service which explains the entire process that you must undertake to do so, which should at least give you a start:

With a little legwork, you can do this yourself! Congratulations on finding love -- I wish you only the best.

GOOD LUCK
