Answer

Thank you for the additional information. It is pretty worrisome when a kitty does not want to eat normally, especially such a youngster. Without proper nutrition, the liver and kidneys will start to shut down, and this can be a very expensive and difficult complication to treat. Your kitty might have the beginnings of an upper respiratory infection, which is essentially a cold. Without treatment, your kitty could become extremely ill. typically antibiotics are necessary to help kitty get over the infection. Please see the following website for more information.

Another possibility is the feline herpes virus. This virus typically affects the eyes and upper respiratory tract. Please see the following website for more information on feline herpes.

And, I am also concerned about the feline leukemia and feline aids viruses. Either of these viruses can cause the symptoms you are seeing. Please see the following website for more information on feline aids.

Please see the following website for more information on feline leukemia.

And finally, I am concerned about an illness called feline infectious peritonitis. This illness can be difficult to diagnose and can have a very poor prognosis. Please see the following website for more information on FIP.

Your kitty needs to see a vet IMMEDIATELY for an exam and some tests. If you cannot swing a trip to the emergency vet tonight, then try to have her seen first thing tomorrow. The longer it takes to have her seen, the more difficult and expensive it will be to make her well again. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. If this has been helpful, please hit the green accept button. Best of luck with your little one, I hope she feels better soon :)

ok...one more question...she has a sister that seems fine! ...do i need to seperate them

Accepted Answer

unfortunately separating them at this point will not do any good, because her sister has already been exposed. If your little one has something contagious, your vet will likely want to see the other kitty as well for an exam. Depending on what is going on, you may be asked to watch the other kitty closely and have her seen if symptoms present.
