Code 16 fuel injectors
Vehicle will not idle right, won't rev over 3000 rpm.
drive it a few miles, it will die and has to sit for 10 min before starting again.
Put new fuel filter and injectors in today still won't start and run.
also has new battery, so a full 12v on the system.
What should be done or looked at next?
Because I have an air/fuel ratio gauge and its not reading.

Answer

Yes exactly. You need to check your airflow meter and your switch to the air to fuel ratio gauge. You should be able to aliminate any shorted wire issues along the route. Check your fuse to air flow meter. A lot of maf sensors can be cleaned out with compressed air and carburator cleaner.

Thanks Dan

As far as I know this specific car doesn't have an air flow meter. At least not in the traditional sense. I have had an aftermarket air intake on the car for 6 years. If there is one then I don't know where it is. My air/fuel ratio gauge is aftermarket also, it is hooked into the 02 sensor to read my air to fuel ratio.

Ok. checked to make sure fuel pump was working. It works. I don't have the right tool to check fuel pressure, but the only way the car starts is by shooting a little starting fluid into the throttle body.
It ran for about 30 seconds and died. No positive fuel pressure?
I just remembered about 2 weeks ago it died on me and when I changed the filter it ran great for a week and now I cant get it to start at all.(without a little starting fluid)
