i have already try that it did not work for me, i said that i when ask what i have tryed

Answer

I asked you to squeeze it to see if the image changed at all that is to see whether your problem is a bad backlight or inverter. If the screen changed when your squeezed those tweo corners the inverter needs to be replaced. However if it did not do anything your back light needs to be replaced.

i i will accept i was just wondering does it pay to fix a back light on a 5 year old lap top iwill accept after you tell me what you think i paid about 500 when i bout it, or should i just buy new one

Accepted Answer

Actually the backlight if you do it yourself is very cheap. Sometimes no more than $10 and having it done at a repair shop is uaually between $65 and $100. So it is definately cheaper but that is an older machine and the are only meant to have a lifespan of 3 to 5 years. So you could repair it but within a year the machine would become obsolete.
