Question

I have a recurrent problem with Microsoft Visual Library C++. When attempting to install a programme such as Adobe Reader,the process gets to 99.9% and then terminates saying that the application has requested temination in an unusual way,and to contact the programme makers' support team. I have attemtped to repair the regristry using 2 commercial registry cleaner/repairers,but although they say there is a fault,it does not get repaired. I have attemted to load Microsoft Visual Library C++ 2008,but it comes up with the same error!

I have had the same problem. However, the only way that I was able to get it fixed was to perform a full re-install. I could not get any support from microsoft because it was an evaluation build, and there is no documentation available that has anything resembling this issue.

My presumption was that either something I had installed or a microsoft process running in the background had corrupted my registry.

After a full re-installation I was able to install Reader and my other programs without incident.

Strangely enough, I never received this problem with the Beta version that expired last month.
