HI!
My 4 month old kitten has diarrhea..I have her on Kitten Chow only..she does not have worms, has had her shots and the vet said she is in excellent health..what could cause the diarrhea?

Hello there,

The diarrhea comes from colitis. There are many causes for this is kittens. Food allergy is possible. I would try switching brands of kitten food. Some brands just don't agree with some animals. Oral Albon from your vet is used to treat the inflammation in the colon. It is given once a day for several weeks. Coccidia is also possible. It is a microscopic parasite that normal wormer will not kill. Pro biotics may also be helpful to replace the normal flora of the gut that has probably been lost.
