i have psoriasis and have been prescribed clobetasol propionate (ointment) along with dovonex cream are these safe. i have recently contacted acute bronchitis is there any connection?
Gender: MaleAge: 55
Clobetasol propionate does not cause acute bronchitis but can cause secondary infections if used for long as it can weaken the immunity. When using Clobetasol Propionate some of it may be absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream. Too much absorption may lead to unwanted side effects. To minimize the problem large amounts of Clobetasol Propionate should not be used over large areas. Dovonex or calcipotriene also does not cause bronchitis. The most common side effect of calcipotriene is skin irritation, stinging and burning. Less common side effects include dry skin, peeling, rash, dermatitis and worsening of psoriasis.
