My A/C blows out only hot air. I have a 2004 Kia Sedona and it was working fine two days ago. All the fluids are fine.
Year: 2004Make: KiaModel: SedonaEngine: V6 Already Tried: All the fluids have been checked. Can I do it or do I need to take it in?
You cannot accurately check the charge in the a/c system without an a/c machine or at least a/c gauges. There are pressure sensors in the a/c system that will disable the a/c operation if the charge level gets to low to prevent compressor damage. You will need to have the a/c system tested/diagnosed to determine if it is just a low refrigerant charge issue or if it is an electrical issue preventing the a/c from coming on.
The fluids were checked at a shop and they said it electrical. Could it be as simple as a AC fan relay or fuse?
They hooked up to the a/c system with gauges or a machine ? If so then yes it could be a relay or a fuse. There are several components and wiring associated with the a/c system you will have to have some pinpoint testing done to determine where the circuit issue is. The inputs and output commands of the a/c control head will need testing and checking under hood wiring that goes out to the compressor itself. You can try and locate and check the 30 amp fuse labeled c/fan#2 and see if it is blown. if it is ok you will need further electrical testing done.
