I washed my 1997 528i engine and after I washed it car turned on fine. About 5 min later as I was driving baterry light came on.I got home turned off car now it does not want to start all the lights even radio come on and work but not even starting noise.i gave it cables didnt help.

Just tried giving it cables for a while it did not help.
Tried opening hood and letting it dry out but not helping since yesterday that I washed engine.Please if you can help me by telling me how to fix problem

Hi XXXXXXXXXXXX,

Water probably got into the alternator and blew it out so it's no longer charging the battery. First get the battery load tested, then check the alternaotr output. Most parts stores can check both for you.
