Question

I have tingling in my face, head, arms, legs, lowers shins (like socks falling down) on a regular basis. It occurs when hot outside or when tired. Started 10 yrs ago with a Dr. prescribed overdose of Cycrin (30 mg/day). Had symptoms for 2 yrs, then only summers, now back big time. Disrupts ability to think at times. Had EEG, MRI, EMG (for MS) 10 yrs ago, now just did blood work - all normal. Being given 30 mg Cymbalta - do not like. Cause of tingling/numbness? Ideas? Opinion of medication? I see it is for diabetic numbness. I am not a diabetic. 50 yr old female, 130 lbs, competitive runner. No muscle weakness.

Already Tried:
10 yrs ago MRI, 9 yrs ago MRI, EEG, EMG. Why occuring again? Permanent condition? Permanent nerve damage - from the cycrin? Feel it more with the hot weather, but don't feel it when I run. Any treatment other than medication? Sensitive to meds and very sensitive stomach. Cymbalta was given as a trial 10 days ago... now waking at 4AM, not slepping well after, urinating more often, in morning exhausted, first day was like a hangover. Tingling is mostly gone, except for face. Don't like the medication.

Yes, it is the same on both sides. The temperatures have come down and I have now been on the Cymbalta for 11 days, and the symptoms are mostly gone. I don't know if it is the temp or the Cymbalta. I really am looking for the cause (was it really the Cycrin? - was 30 mg a day reasonable?) and a solution that does not require long term medication. The Cymbalta upsets my stomach, I have been waking up at 3 or 4 AM and not able to sleep and then in the AM, am overtired. It is hard to be motivated to run when so tired! Yesterday and today the numbness/tingling is back in my face, lips, my forearms and again it feels like socks falling down on the front of my legs just above my ankles. Thanks for any info you can provide.
