Customer Question

I have a whirlpool side by side that was built in 12/03. I have had to put in a relay sensor in June and it went out again. The tech here said that the compressor is bad. Would whirlpool help with this problem since the fridge is 5 years old?

Already Tried:
We have had a local tech come out and check the fridge. We put a new relay in June and it went again. The tech said it is the compressor. The fridge is only 5 years old. What if anything can be done?

 
 
 
 
 
 

Accepted Answer

It does sound like the compressor is bad but he should have done and amp draw on it. it shouldn't run at anymore then 3 amps. If you call whirlpool they might comp the parts and you would only have to pay the labor.
