Accepted Answer

Dear XXXXXXXXXXX -

As a recipient of a gift, you have no tax filing requirements. The donor is required

to file a gift tax return (Form 709) if you receive gifts of more than $13,000 in a calendar year. There will be no tax due until the donor's taxable gifts exceed $1,000,000 during their lifetime.
