I have a physical science problem that I need to predict and it is as follows:
A: Form a soap film on a large end of a funnel by gently dipping it into the soap solution. PREDICT what will happen if you place your finger over the small end of the funnel and lift it from the soap solution, also PREDICT what will happen when you remove your finger from the smal end of the funnel.
B. Raise the funnel from the solution with your finger over the small end of the funnel. Hold the funnel and remove your finger. Record your observations.
C. Repeat steps A and B, but this time add a second film of soap about an inch below the first film. Record your observations.
D. Using a wire frame try to make a square soap bubble. After a soap bubble is formed watch it float in the air. What causes it to burst?

Thanks a million.

I can tell you the easiest way to work such problems - do the experiment and then go back and document your preditions.
I predict you will get a soap film that stays on the wide end of the funnel.
When you remove your finger the film may pop.
Even using a square frame you will get a round soap bubble - because the bubble's surface will be pushed out in equal distances from the center by the air pressure inside of it.
As water evaporates from the bubble's surface or as air pressure varies the bubble will pop due to loss of the surface tension.
Hope this helps you!
