Question
I have two beagles, one at 25 lbs and one at 40 lbs. They have both ingested 5 raisins each about 30 minutes ago. At this time there is no visible sign of distress. We can spend $200 to the vet look at them or induce vomitting with peroxide ourselves. They have a couple of grapes before without incident. What would you do?

Answer
Hi,
While it is unlikely that the 5 raisins each will cause any problems, I would probably play it safe and try to make them vomit at home. I would give the smaller one a tablespoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide and the bigger one 2 tablespoons. Wait 20 min. If still no vomiting, then give half the dose. Hopefully that will do it.
Good luck!

how long will vomit for before they'll stop?
Accepted Answer
Usually about 15-20 min or so. I would either do it outside, put a bunch of newspapers down, or stick them in the bathtub. But it can take 15-20 min before they start vomiting, too.
