Question

my 1995 Lincoln town car, signature addition, fully loaded fails to start at times. I may get out and run in a store and right back out and it will fail to start. the very same situation the next time and it may start with no problem. I can wait for five, ten, sometimes twenty or thirty minutes and it starts without a problem. It is so unpredictable.

Hello welcome to the site
can you tell me if the ignition control modual has been checked
this sounds like a bad control unit
these are pretty common for this hot start condition
this is the first place I would start at

Hi Dino,

I have not checked, or had the ignition control modual check. What is that? and how do I check it?

The ignition control modual is attached to the distributor housing and their is a electronic scan tool that plugs into the modual and test this item.
I think auto zone will test this for you but the key part is testing while in the failed state when it's hot and not working
