Question

I have a rheemglas fury. It stopped heating water today. I have the two doors off and am trying to light the pilot as indicated on the instruction panel. The instructions and the configuration seem to be slightly different. Is the small opening at the base of the burner (about two to three inches below)? If so, I'm unable to get any flame established. For some reason, I thought this unit had an automatic ignition setup.
If you can assist me, I would appreciate it.

I have tried to locate the pilot according to the instructions without success. I'm not convienced that the small whole is for the pilot flame. Is this unit an auto ignitor?
Both doors are off, the gascock is in the off position. I have placed the value to the pilot position, held the button and attempted to light the pilot. No luck!

Answer

Hi XXXXXXXX XXX
The first thingto do is turn the gas cock to the on postition. If you have the gas cock off you won't have any gas to light. If that doesn't work respond to this answer and we'll dig a little deeper.
