Model : Suburban 1500 LT

We just bought the vehicle, and we need to see if it should be serviced. We have spent most of our money on the purchase, and we would like to know what to be aware of when we take it in to our technician, as we have little reserve funds.
Thank you for your help.

Answer

Hello mabufadli, the noise coming from the steering column is the intermediate steering shaft. It is a common problem on this vehicle. The shaft will need to be replaced to fix this. As for the front end noise does it only occur when hitting bumps?

Thanks regarding the steering shaft.

As far as 'As for the front end noise does it only occur when hitting bumps? '

>The front end noise does not only occur when hitting bumps, and the squeak is heard when I first drive the vehicle after it has been parked a while, and it goes away as the vehicle is driven a bit.

Okay, and does the noise only come from the front or the rear also?

I seems to be from the front, ans once again it goes away as I drive the car a bit.

The noise is best described as a squeaky, clunky noise.
It is heard as I accelerated, and I can hear it only when the car is in gear.
If I am in neutral, and I rev the engine, I do not hear the noise.

Thank you.

Okay. This may be a bad bushing. THe front end needs to be checked for any loose parts.
