Hello,

Do you have the combination of low and high pressure switch?
And how do you want to turn off the compressor? If there is low pressure or if you have a high pressure? or both?

Answer

Ok. so if it is only low pressure, there should be three screws on the pressure control.

That would be C-common, NC- normally close, and NO- normally open.

Wire one wire of the power to the compressor to C and NO. Which means at low pressure or no pressure at all, this contact would be open, then the power to the compressor would be cut off.

You can adjust the pressure setting so that it will not cut off at zero pressure. It can cut off at 5 psi so that the system still has a little pressure before the compressor cuts out.

Accepted Answer

Ok. Do you have a meter to measure resistance? With the pressure switch still not hooked to the system, measure the two screws. If the reading of the two screws is open, then use these two screws. If the reading is zero ( close contact), then you can not use it. The contacts are reversed.
