Question

I have a 94 geo metro, it blows the fuse for interior, radio and tail light when I turn on the tail lights. I hear a thunk from under the dash as it blows, I have disconected the tail lights and it still happens, is there a relay that goes on these, or is it most likely a short in the wire to the lights? thanks Pete

Already Tried:
fuse to the int, radio and tail lights blows when I turn on the lights, I disconected the taillights and took the fuse box down. it still blows, I hear a small thunk from under the dash, that is not the fuse, as it blows. Is there a relay in there? what is the solution ?

It sounds like its most likely a short somewhere. If you disconnected it and it still blows then I would start at the fuse box and try and trace the wires with meter to see if you can find where the short is. Thats what is sounds like happebed to me anyhow. Also inspect the wires to the light connectors as well. This is where I would start. Sounds like a short.
