Answer

If you still have F30 and the sensor didn't fix your problems then your control board or "clock" is actually the part that needs to be replaced. F30 does mean that your sensor is being detected as shorted but if your sensor has been replaced and you still get the same error then your control board isn't reading it correctly.

last question I hope... Is it fairly intuitive on how to get to the control board? Is that the same as the keypad?

Accepted Answer

it is the same part as the keypad actually. To access just pull the unit forward and take the back panel of the control panel off. The clock is held in with just 4 screws.

thanks! Anything I should be careful or you want to add?

I repair computers so this should be pretty straight forward.

Can you refer me as an expert

Answer

I unfortunately cannot refer anyone outside of my specialized area but I will let them know you are interested in becoming a computer expert. As far as tips, when you take the back cover off, remove the 4 screws holding on the control board and write down the location of all the wire plugs with color coding so you can install the new click easily.

replaced oven probe and control board. still get F30 error

Answer

the only thing left is the wiring between the sensor and the control board. There are just no other options, either one of the parts was defective that you replaced or there is a bad connection between the sensor and control board.
