After the washing machine overflowed I replaced the water fill valve. The machine is working fine now. Do I need to consider problems with the pressure valve or air tube as well?

Accepted Answer

If you had to shut the water off to get it to stop filling, then you have nothing to worry about. If you had to shut off the washer, then you will want to check the pressure tube for leaks, if no leaks replace valve(only if you had to shut off the washer to get the water to stop).

what if the water stopped on its own? i found water in the tub of the washer and on the floor. So i shut the water off because i wasnt sure what was happening. I have replaced the water fill valve as a precaution. Do you think there is anything else i need to worry about?

i shut the water off becuase i found water of the floor but the water in the machine looked like it had receeded. i turned off the faucets not knowing what was happening and the replaced the water fill valve as a precaution. Should i be worried that anything else is wrong?

Normally if you have a problem with the pressure tube or switch they do not correct themselves, so no I do not think you have anything to worry about.
