Question

My 1 year old Badger 5 sinkerator garbage disposal is "stuck". The reset button is not helping and even though I put a broom stick in and can turn the blades it just "SMOKES"! Yes, I did put my hand down in it and it doesn't work. PLEASE HELP!

Hi Kelley
It doesn't sound too good but there is one more thing you can try. There is a 1/4" special allen type wrench that came with the disposal. If you don't have it you can try a regular allen wrench but it's a knuckle skiiner if you use a standard allen wrench. Take the wrench and insert it into the hex socket in the center bottom of the disposal and try turnig it in both directions. If that doesn't free it up then you need a new disposal.
