Question

I am looking at a 1990 rv ( 21 Ft.) with a renault 2.1 liter engine. Is this a sufficient engine or will it be underpowered?

It is a 21 FT. Winnebago Itaska and I think that I failed to say that it was a gas engine.

Ok , thanks for the reply.

It sounds like you are looking at an Itasca Phasar , which was basicaly the same as the Winnebago Lesharo.

The gas engine in the 1990 model was an improvement over the diesels , but I would still consider it to be very underpowered. The mileage and small size of those motorhomes made them seem practical , but they generaly a very high -maintenance coach.

Back in the late eighties/ early nineties , I was factory trained by Winnebago to service the Lesharo / Phasar. I would not recommend that you purchase one of these.
