I have a Canon S750 printer. When I power up the printer, the power light flashes orange twice, then green and the print-head makes a loud grinding noise and does not move. I have had the printer turned off overnight and it started behaving this way as soon as I turned it on this morning.

Check inside and make sure the print head and the cartridges are not jammed or stuck.
If they aren't you need to get the print head replaced.
