Question

Hi, I am in need of a P+L and balance sheet for potential investors. I have purchased a business that has been in business 10 years, I have owned it now for   1 yr 4 months- since June 2008.I have the previous Owners last few P+L's.I had a Bookeeping service do my 2008 tax returns.I have all business bank statements easily emailable, a 2 inch thick envelope of expense statements, and the checkstubs from my business bank account as well. I am wondering a fair price for getting these reports(P+L and Balance Sheet) based on reviewing the info I have listed above.I do also have a massive amount of check detail compiled for each month, showing each transaction, which at some point needs to be reconciled etc.., but for now I can't afford what it would cost to have someone go through all of these, and I am being advised that I shouldnt need to pay for someone to do that to get a P+L,etc. It can be based on Bank statements, expenses, check stubs. Please advise and estimated cost-
Pete

Already Tried:
I have quotes from 2 local Bookeeping services, One who wants to go through everything I have and become a "live" bookeeping service for me. I appreciate this and will need this later when I can afford it but firststep = showing advisors, Lenders, Investors the numbers from a P+L, etc.

Dear Mr Vaishnav, Are you a CPA and are you meaning that you or your firm can have a CPA do this job given the resources I have outlined?I do understand that one would have to see the documents to accurately give a final estimate. If this job could be done what is the time frame?

Even the time frame can be known only after I see the quantum of work...
