Question

during the cold time of the year my garage door remote fails to activate the door opener. I have tried putting new batteries in etc, and nothing seems to help. I have heard that maybe it could be a problem with the circuit board. please help?

Answer

Hi XXXXXXXX
Have you tried replacing the remote? Remotes fail far more often than the circuit board.

This answer would make sense if the problem was isolated to just one of my three remotes. However, all three fail to open the garage door during the cold months. this includes the garage door remote installed (factory installed) in my 2007 Chevy Tahoe. I have also tried reprograming all of the remotes without any improvement.

Ron

Then your next step would be to replace the circuit board.
