If this just happened, wash the area where you applied the Frontline Plus, with warm water mixed with a couple of drops of Dawn dishwashing liquid or whatever name brand dishwashing liquid you have in the house. Try to scrub as much of it off your dog's skin and fur as possible, without irritating it. Rinse well with clear water.

The active ingredients in Frontline Plus, are fipronil and methoprene, and it usually takes about 24 hours to be completely absorbed by the top layer of skin. Overdose is rare, and no adverse effects have been reported, even up to 5 times the dose.

As long as you have washed off the Frontline Plus with the warm water and Dawn, shortly after application, your dog should be alright. However, if you notice any adverse side effects like difficulty breathing, lethargy, tremors or seizures, bring him to the vet, or an ER vet center, immediately.
