Hello. Yes, if the gauges and/or wiring got wet then that could affect operation, particularly if it was in salt water. You will need to get it completely dried out, and if was in salt you probbly will want to gently rinse everything with fresh water. Also check your fuses, because the water could have shorted something out and blown a fuse.
