Info Request

Hello,
Is the bait missing from the inside of the trap, or is it or most of it, still there?
Is any of the plastic parts of the trap missing or swallowed?

How much does your dog weigh?
Can you tell me what the "active ingredient" is on the box?

Thanks
Dr. Andy

a bit of the outside of the trap is missing and its chewed. I don't see any powder on it. My gog weighs about 10 lbs.Hydramethylnon look like the active ingredient.

Accepted Answer

Sorry to hear what happened.

The good news. A small amount has been ingested at the worst.

My other concern was some of the plastic pieces causing stomach upset or even a foreign body obstruction. Sometimes, we are less worried about the toxicity, and just as concerned about a piece of plastic getting stuck in the digestive tract.

If the powder is mostly still in the trap, your in really good shape.

At this time, I have no further concerns, however, I would still like you to monitor for any digestive upset (vomiting, bad diarrhea, or refusing to eat). Those would certainly be indicators to seek more immediate veterinary attention.

Good Luck
