Hi XXXXXXXXXXXXX
You need a few simple tools; a rubber grout float and a decent large sponge. If your grout lines are less than 1/8" wide you use unsanded grout larger than 1/8" use sanded grout. First you mix the grout to a consistency a little stiffer than mayonaise. After you add water to the grout and get it to the right consistancy you let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes (follow the instructions on the grout container) then mix it again. You then put a dollop of grout on your float and spread it diagonally to the grout lines forcing it into the gaps as you go . Don't worry about getting too much on the tile. Once you have filled all the lines in an area ~3' x 3' (or whatever you are comfortable working with) you scrape off the excess using the edge of the float like a squeegee to scrape the excess grout off the face of the tile. After you have removed as much excess grout as you can with the float you take your sponge wet it a bit wetter than damp and wash off the remaining excess until all you have showing for grout is what's in the grout lines. It may take several washings. Then you let it dry. After several hours go back and wipe of the remaining film with a dry rag.
