Question

I'm having problems with my wireless internet connections, which I never have had before. I can't seem to access certain sites or portions of sites that I had no trouble with before the weekend. For example: I can't access the page preview section of amazon.com, and now I can't access amazon.com at all, and I can't access the on-line order section of papajohns.com, as well as other websites.

partial improvement: able to successful access page preview on amazon.com (and amazon.com as well) still having problems accessing myherbalife.com and online order section of papajohns.com (error is internet explorer cannot display the webpage). The papajohns.com error is not a problem, however myherbalife.com is important for me to access. Thanks for help so far!

successfully added sites to security tab in advanced options. Still cannot access these sites. In addition, I can't access amazon.com again. After successfully accessing amazon.com, I went to twitterwall to vote for friend who is on wall for Mr.Twitter award; after that I could not access amazon.com even after resetting advanced options. Sorry for making it worse! I didn't think that was a problem. Thanks for your help so far.

Answer

It sounds to me like you may have some malware on your machine

Please download and install malwarebytes from here: Click Here
You only need the free version of it
Then update it once it is installed
Do a full system scan with it and then remove anything it finds
Once done restart internet explorer and try the sites again

thanks for your help. It sounds like I'll have to do a systems reset to put this in action. how do I get back in touch with you if there's still a problem? and if I hit accept now, since you have helped somewhat, will this end our online conversation?

have downloaded malwarebytes and performing scan: already two infected objects found. Looks like I don't need to reset yet. Surprised that Iolo's System Mechanic couldn't find these malware! thanks for your help so far.

Accepted Answer

You do not have to do a system restore at all in fact that may make it go back to the way it was before we started. Please try what I have just given you and if it still isn't working please let me know so that we can continue to try and solve the problem.

Also if you accept you can still come back here and post to me.
If you get off this page somehow you can come back by going to this website

Unfortunately then I think the problem is with your ISP since you can use all other sites including now amazon correctly. You will need to call them in order to get this fixed. They may reset your connection for you to fix it.
