I am renting, it went out to change filter, there are 30 day ones out by it. No manual of course. I have taken off front doors and find nothing in there. :(   I do not know where to put the filter. you are talking to a 72 yr old woman who has changed filters for a long time :).
   I am in Fl. this is a gas unit. The numbers that are written on a install paper on the side are (I think) TUDO 40C     RXCO 245 $TTR2024A     these are hand written so could be not totally right.
    Can you tell anything from that?

Hello, this is something quite often determined by the guy installing the furnace. As you stand in front of the unit looking at it, is there a big duct that runs down one side and attaches to the side at the bottom?
