Question

Ive set in some cut up telegraph poles as stepping stones in the garden. The lengths of the poles vary from 2 inches from ground level to 10 inches. The holes in the ground are 6 inches deep and are approx 2 inches wider than the poles all the way around. Ive put 3 inches of foundation using post fix, set the poles in and then added further post fix to the foundations around the pole to just below ground level.

Is this strong enough. If i were to do this again, what advice would u give?

I think you will be okay but if I were doing it I would have drilled holes on 4 sides of the poles and inserted 3/8 ths inch rebar about 4 inches deep and leaving about 3 inches sticking out. Doing this before the concrete around the edges woulld pretty much guarantee the poles stayed in place and didn't come loose from the concrete due to shrinkage.
