i have a 07 tahoe, in the morning only the brake pedal shutters like the abs is kicking in and it takes a while to stop. it only shutters will you are moving, it will not do it when you are just sitting there. there are no lights that come on. if it were a bad wheel sensor wouldnt it turn on the abs light.

its not a noise like on the older vehicle when the pump activates. on the brake pedal assembly there is a solenoid or pump that is releasing the pedal from the plunger going through the fire wall to master cylinder

Answer

OK. If you are certain this is the ABS, then it may not be an open sensor that would cause a code, rather it may be a sensor that drops off early showing what the system thinks is a locked up wheel. What I suggest is watching the wheel speeds and the solenoids to see which one is activating.

whats got me is that it only does it the first 3 or 4 times you hit brakes in the morning then it wont do it at all the rest of the day
