Question

My "brake light circuit" indicator came on and there's no brake lights working. Changed 1 bulb that had no continuity (i'm a electrician), checked fuse which was good, even exchanged it but still nothing. Not sure about the middle trunk lid brake lights, didn't want to take that apart if I didn't have to. Where do I look from here?

Answer

Hi, the Brake light circuit warning is usually a sure sign that your brake light switch has failed. It contains 2 switches inside one for the lights, and one to check the switch, one fails and causes this message.
Let me know the year and model, so I can confirm.

Yes, this applies to your model.
It's all one unit, its installed above the brake pedal behind the trim panel.
They are only about $20
