Question

On June 23rd I brought my vehicle for new tires, mounted, balanced, and and alignment.I paid around 600 dollars.Once I drove off the lot I still had a shimmy in the wheel. After spending the $600 I was devastated that I had this problem.I am very good with working on cars I have been doing it since I was a kid.So with new tires mounted, balanced and a fresh alignment, I should not have that shimmy.Unless it was done improperly but seeing how I just left a certified repair shop I immediately thought I had bigger issues. For the past two months, with every bit of free time I had,I have taken off each wheel and pulled everything apart I found nothing wrong.Today I noticed that there is no balancer's on either of the driver side wheels, that is the shimmy. Also the alignment is not good. One more thing I have documentation that they suggested $400 of brake work be done.I replaced those parts myself but there is nothing wrong with the old pads and rotors, which I kept for proof.I want compensation.

I have done nothing yet because today I came to the conclusion that it was an error on their part. I am so busy I can only get to certain issues a little at a time but this car thing has consumed my summer and I am very upset. I almost had to go back into therapy. I've been waiting for the time to go back and complain about the wrong diagnosis with the pads but I just have not had the time. Now this with the tires. I have been pushed over the edge. I do not wish to settle this with a hand shake and nice words.

You can file suit in small claims court if they will not refund your money and get the court filing fees. Make sure you document the lack of balancers on the wheels so you can show they failed to put them on yet charged you. Ask for the entire 600. back but you cannot get the brake work they suggested because it was never done so you did not incur actual damages on that part of the claim.

I see. Yes you can get them for the 180 in parts because you relied upon their recommendation to do the work
