My cat has been on a low-residue diet for a few years now. He eats eukakanuba(spelling) low residue, intestinal. He is also morbidly obese. I would like to know how long should he be eating this food? What steps can I take to help him lose weight?

<p>Hi </p><p>If he is morbidly obese you must simply cut his food back drastically. It is as simple as that. He should get no more than 1/2 can twice a day, or1/4 cup of dry twice a day. It doesn't matter much about what type of food you give him.</p>
