Obtaining a copy of your high school diploma is generally not a very hard process. You will need to contact the high school which you attended and they may refer you to the board of education to which district your high school was a part of. You will need to explain to them that you need a copy of your high school diploma and they will be able to obtain this for you. They may even ask you to put your request in writing, in addition to paying a small fee for a copy of your diploma as well. If you are close to the school/district where you attended high school then you can go into your former high school or preferably the district's board of education office and make the request in person which would be much quicker than relying on the postal system. Depending on what you need the diploma for, often times high school transcripts can be used as proof of high records and graduation as well. High School transcripts can quite often be accessed quicker and delivered faster. Obviously I cannot guarantee your school district would be able to release this information for you to a relative as every school district carries their own individual policies. However, I do think most school districts would not have a problem with this request as long as they have your permission. Although, they may require written permission for this request. Many CNA programs only require proof of high school graduation. You may be able to obtain your transcripts or some other acceptable form of proof of graduation from high school much quicker by asking as well.
